Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Support at Home program?

Support at Home is a government-subsidised program that provides funding for coordinated home care services. Launched on 1 November 2025, it replaced the previous Home Care Packages program. There are eight support classifications, each providing a different level of funding based on your assessed care needs — from light support through to high-complexity care.

How do I find out if I am eligible for Support at Home?

Eligibility is assessed by an Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT). You can apply for an assessment by calling My Aged Care on 1800 200 422. Our team can also help guide you through the process.

How much does home care cost?

Most of our services are funded through government subsidies such as the Support at Home program or the NDIS. You may be required to pay a basic daily fee and/or an income-tested care fee, which is determined by Services Australia based on your income.

What areas do you service?

We currently serve clients in Sydney, Newcastle, Central Coast, and Canberra. If you are unsure whether we cover your area, please call us or send an enquiry and we will let you know.

Can I choose my own care workers?

Yes. We work closely with you to match you with care workers who meet your needs and preferences, including language, cultural background, and experience.

What languages do your care workers speak?

Our team includes care workers who speak English, Mandarin, Cantonese, and other languages. Please let us know your preferred language when you enquire.

What services are included in home care?

Our services include personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing), domestic assistance (cleaning, laundry, shopping), nursing care, allied health (physiotherapy, occupational therapy), social support, transportation, and respite care.

How do I get started?

Simply contact us via our online form, phone, or WeChat. We will arrange a free, no-obligation consultation to discuss your needs and explain how we can help.

Are your carers trained and qualified?

Yes. All our care workers hold relevant qualifications, including Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, and undergo background checks, including police clearances, before working with clients.

What is the difference between self-managed and fully managed care?

With self-managed care, you have more control over how your package funds are spent and which providers you engage. With fully managed care, we coordinate everything on your behalf — ideal if you prefer a hands-off approach.
