Self-managed Support at Home: you're in control

Self-managed home care gives you the freedom to choose your own service providers, set your own schedule, and decide exactly how your government funding is spent. Golden Life can be your chosen provider — on your terms.

What does self-managing your care mean?

Under the Support at Home program, you receive a government-funded budget allocated to your assessed level of need. With self-management, you are empowered to decide how that budget is spent — which providers you use, how often they visit, and which services take priority.

Unlike fully managed care, you won't have a care coordinator making decisions on your behalf. You engage providers directly, pay invoices from your package funds, and oversee the quality of what you receive.

This model typically comes with lower administrative fees than full management — meaning more of your budget goes directly toward the care and support you need.
